Balaji Associates started in 2011 in Bhopal, running public communication, field operations and monitoring work for government and institutional programmes. It was unglamorous and it taught us the thing most AI vendors never learn: what actually happens at the counter, in the back office, in the register nobody admits to keeping by hand.

We rebuilt the practice around applied intelligence, keeping the same discipline and changing the tools. Today we serve schools, departments and institutions across Madhya Pradesh and the rest of India — and we still start every project by sitting with the people doing the job.
